Impression scanners are the latest in digital dentistry and are the standard of care at Grubaugh Orthodontics. One of our assistants slides the scanner across your teeth to create a highly accurate and precise 3D digital model of your teeth. What’s so great about that?

Now there's no more need for gooey and gaggy impressions. Dr. Grubaugh can use your digital impression to simulate your final orthodontic result, even before you begin treatment.

This technology Precisely Captures Accurate 3D Views

Ultra Low Dose 3D X-Rays

Grubaugh Orthodontics has implemented ultra-low dose 3D X-ray technology at both our DeWitt and Lansing offices. This allows Dr. Grubaugh to precisely capture accurate 3D views of the teeth and the jaws at 75% LESS exposure compared to 2D low dosage digital orthodontic X-rays.

3D X-rays give more accurate and undistorted views to diagnosis and treatment plan with a greater amount of precision in comparison to a traditional 2D X-ray machine. The scan allows us to visualize any abnormalities in tooth eruption, tooth formation, and tooth position with unparalleled accuracy. The views of the patient go beyond just the teeth but provide views of your airway.

Correct Your Bite

Carriere Appliance

The Carriere Motion Appliance is an orthodontic device developed to correct the bite and avoid the need for headgear, jaw surgery and removal of permanent teeth.

With an effect similar to headgear, but without the use of a bulky appliance, the Carriere Motion Appliance pushes upper teeth back to correct the bite.

Dental Monitoring

We are excited to include remote monitoring as part of our Invisalign treatment at no additional charge (a $400 value)! This state-of-the-art technology is an integral part of Invisalign treatment which will allow us to more closely monitor treatment progress with a higher degree of accuracy and fewer office visits. Once a week, this technology prompts Invisalign patients to take a one-minute scan of their smile and bite using their smart phone. This scan is sent directly to our doctor and team and allows us to confirm that patient aligners are fitting while monitoring treatment progress to ensure an on-time excellent result. It will also allow us to monitor oral hygiene and any broken attachments.
