Braces in DeWitt

Traditional braces have long proven themselves to be one of the most efficient orthodontic tools available. The metal or ceramic brackets are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. Through regular adjustments with our doctors, these parts will work on moving your teeth into the desired position as they work together to apply gentle pressure.

Braces in DeWitt are a great option for correcting a number of simple and complex tooth issues. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options might, overall treatment time can be slightly reduced. In addition, braces don’t need some of the expensive equipment or more complicated technology that newer treatments can. This makes DeWitt braces a cost-effective orthodontic option for patients on a budget.

Invisalign in DeWitt

Instead of brackets and bands, the Invisalign in DeWitt system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment. Invisalign is currently the top alternative to traditional braces and is an incredibly popular choice with both patients and orthodontists.

Invisalign aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly over your teeth. The trays are virtually invisible and you’ll switch them out every 1-2 weeks for the next in the series. This keeps the teeth moving in the right direction! In order for aligners to do their job, they must be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment. Patients who neglect to wear the aligners as directed can have a negative impact on the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.

Invisalign is most effective when used to correct many of the most common orthodontic issues. Invisalign may not be a viable option for complex cases. A free consultation with Grubaugh Orthodontics will be able to help determine your eligibility for Invisalign.
