Meet Lansing Orthodontist

Dr. Ed Grubaugh

Dr. Ed Grubaugh is a native of the Lansing area. He grew up on a farm just north of DeWitt and attended St. Johns Public Schools. His desire to become an orthodontist was inspired by his own orthodontic treatment at age 12.

Education & Experience

Dr. Grubaugh majored in chemistry at Michigan State University, and after receiving his bachelor's in only three years, he was accepted to the The University of Michigan’s School of Dentistry.

In dental school, Dr. Grubaugh graduated in the top of his class and was elected into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Grubaugh continued his tour of the Big Ten Schools by attending The Ohio State University to specialize in orthodontics while receiving a Master’s of Science in Oral Biology.

Dr. Grubaugh, a sports fan, wishes success to the athletic programs at all of the universities he attended, however, his loyalty will always be to Michigan State University.

Board-Certified Expert

Dr. Grubaugh is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (Only one-third of all orthodontists are board certified!) His research interests include digital orthodontic imaging and how technology can make orthodontic treatment more efficient.

A leading orthodontic journal recently published some of his research. Besides practicing orthodontics full-time in Lansing and DeWitt, Dr. Grubaugh teaches at The Ohio State University’s Department of Orthodontics as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
