Vivera™ Retainers
These are custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly. They are nearly invisible, much like Invisalign® clear aligners used for teens and adults — and they’re made by the same company. At first, you’ll wear your Vivera retainers most of the day, but eventually, you’ll only need them while you sleep.
Fixed or permanent retainers
Some teeth are just a bit more stubborn than others, and the movement we see is more challenging to manage with a removable retainer. We don’t see it very often, but it does happen, and we’re ready to help patients whose final results aren’t as well suited to a Vivera retainer as we’d like. A fixed or permanent retainer can be a great option in these cases. With a fixed or permanent retainer, we bond a small, thin wire to the back of your teeth where no one can see it. It stays put so you can go about your day without a second thought. Again, not everyone is a candidate for a permanent, fixed retainer, and this option does require a little more attention to hygiene.

I originally was a Dr. Faust patient and although he did good but over time the retainers I had would break (wire retainer). I came to Grubaugh because my teeth shifted so much I just couldn’t stand it anymore. I was able to get the Invisalign and now my teeth are back to where they were before and I couldn’t be happier. Staff is super friendly and very communicative. I highly recommend if you are thinking about it.
